Turbo File Manager Conversion Documentation
From version 1.0 to 1.21 there have been some changes to the names and
locations of some of the files that TurboFM uses. The origional
configuration file (TFMCFG.EXE) has been renamed to SETUP121.EXE and
it is now run from the same directory as the Status.Dat file is located
in. Its sole purpose is to create a TurboFM.CFG file and to make the
5 batch files. Once this has been done the program is no longer needed.
The Batch files have also been changed so that the program does not
have to do as much work to read in the dorinfoX.def files and the
Status.Dat. Rather than changing directories to the TurboFM directory
the TurboFM program is just loaded from the batch file....this maintains
the current directory to read the necessary files from.
To upgrade you will need to delete the old TurboFM.Cfg file that was
in the TurboFM directory (it will never be looked for there any ways)
and you need to run the SETUP121.exe file in the directory where the
Status.Dat file exists. If you run TurboFM from a directory other that
MAINBBSDIR\TurboFM then you will again need to modify the created batch
files so that they load the TurboFM program from the correct directory.
